Our aim
Everyone should be able to use this website well, regardless of visual, hearing or motor impairments, device or browser. Our benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Compliance status
This website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2, level AA. The exception is listed under “Known limitations”.
What we have done
- The website can be operated entirely with a keyboard. The focus is visible, and a skip link leads straight to the content.
- Videos can be paused. “Pause animations” in the footer stops videos, moving graphics and transitions across the whole website. If your system is set to “Reduce motion”, you see still images.
- Text and controls meet the required contrast ratios, including on images and videos.
- Forms have visible labels. Error messages appear next to the field and are linked to it.
- Images have text alternatives. The videos have no sound; what they show is described.
- The layout remains usable at 200 % zoom, at a width of 320 px and with increased line, word and letter spacing.
Known limitations
The two patent specifications as PDF (US 11,708,424 B1 and US 12,071,490 B2) are image files from the US Patent and Trademark Office without a text layer. Their content, the claims in full and in plain language, is on the Patents page.
How we tested
October 2026: testing of all pages with axe-core (rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA) at widths of 390 and 1440 px. In addition, keyboard operation and visible focus on every page type, the layout at a width of 320 px, at medium window widths and with increased text spacing, stopping all motion, and contrast measurements, including text on images and videos. Browser: Chrome.
Tests with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS) and in Safari and Firefox are still to be done.
