Laboratory testing
Tested in an accredited laboratory.
HygCen Germany GmbH, Schwerin, a testing laboratory accredited by DAkkS, tested Z-Chitosan in quantitative suspension tests for antibacterial activity in accordance with EN 1276:2019 and for yeasticidal activity in accordance with EN 1650:2019. The accreditation applies to the laboratory and its test methods.
EN 1276:2019
Quantitative suspension test · antibacterial activity
EN 1650:2019
Quantitative suspension test · yeasticidal activity
Both tests are suspension tests on the active substance itself. They say nothing about performance in a finished product or on a treated surface; each application needs its own tests for that. Testing to a standard is not a certification of the product or the company.
